The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has stated that if PD will come to power, then this political force will double the salaries and budget for the education sector.

Berisha said that the current government's criteria is to appoint people without merit who only steal the country.

“Në vitin 2005 ne u zotuam se ndryshimin e Shqipërisë do ta fillojmë me mësuesit, me arsimin. U bënë përpjekje të mëdha, natyrisht objektivat nuk mund të them se u realizuan plotësisht, por mësuesia u shndërrua përsëri në një profesion ashtu siç është, fisnik i nderuar, mësuesit nuk kërkonin të largoheshin nga arsimi, infrastruktura po modernizohej.
