President Bajram Begaj has spoken about cyber security and attacks from Iran.

He assessed this fact as worrying, but added that Albania managed to recover from the attack thanks to cooperation with strategic partners and NATO.

Meanwhile, Begaj "boasted" the government, saying that it has an ambitious plan for strengthening digital and cyber defense capacities.

" Albania assesses the threat coming from Iran as worrying.                                            

In July and September of last year we faced a severe cyber attack undertaken and sponsored by the state structure of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Albania, in close cooperation with its strategic partners and NATO, managed to stop and recover from this attack, as well as cut off diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.  

The Albanian government has an ambitious plan for strengthening digital and cyber defense capacities. Cooperation with NATO in this direction is highly appreciated", said Begaj./ CNA.al
