Prime Minister Edi Rama has revealed that one of the issues he discussed with the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, during his visit to Germany is the departure of doctors and nurses from Albania. Rama said that mechanisms and ways should be found so that Albania is not a financier for Germany's health system, since the only one that loses from this is Albania.

"We cannot ask either Germany or the EU, nor Britain, to stop the free movement of human capital and those who want to test themselves in the field of their profession or the markets of Germany. On the other hand, we discussed with the chancellor how we should find ways and mechanisms so that Albania is not a direct financier of the German health system. Medical students pay 1/16 of the cost and the government pays the rest. This is at a time when all countries need skilled and unskilled labor. We have to find a European way since countries like Albania are lost", said Rama.

While on the other hand, the German chancellor, Olaf Shcolz, said that this is a big challenge and that Germany is responsible for the great need for labor force not to be covered by the EU alone.

"This is a big challenge. Free movement has given many citizens the feeling that you can't just go as a tourist, but you can get on a train or plane and work wherever you want. Before it was a big challenge, today it is no longer such a situation, but with this freedom today there are also challenges, so our country is responsible that the great need for labor force is not covered by the EU alone", he declared .
