Prime Minister Edi Rama, present at the signing ceremony of the agreement between the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy and the Polytechnic University of Tirana, declared that new avenues and channels of cooperation between the government and universities will be created.
Rama stated that in the budgets of the following years there will be a fund to support the challenges of Artificial Intelligence in all university programs to give professors and students the opportunity to showcase their talent in this field.
Rama said that AI equalizes countries because it doesn't matter which country on the globe you live in to make the epochal leap.
"This activity contains an important moment of cooperation between the government and the university.
This process has seen continuous developments and experience has taught us that there is much to be done in collaborations with different faculties. But beyond this program that will enable the recruitment of a number of students, we want to go even further and articulate even more special programs.
We will create new bridges and channels of cooperation that serve the purpose of mutual benefit that materializes in the concrete lives of students and materializes in the quality of their work.
Every year we have a significant number of students making this transition between classrooms and workplaces.
We are making a lot of efforts to bring other academic realities to open up to the world or to give them the opportunity to gain experiences as if they were abroad.
This university is being strengthened with two new modern structures that will create optimal conditions for students. It is very necessary to support the university with the necessary infrastructure and technology to embrace epochal change.
We will give educators and students the opportunity to showcase their talent in Artificial Intelligence, because it doesn't matter where in the world you live, epochal breakthroughs are made regardless of will.
"In the budgets of the coming years, we will have a budget where we will support all trials, I call on lecturers and students to be more committed to increasing the artificial intelligence component in all university programs," Rama declared.
Prime Minister Rama also exchanged jokes with the students present and advised the boys not to be upset that the internship opportunity was given only to girls as they are more advanced than boys and men.
Rama said that we need people who challenge themselves.
"We have no problems with gender equality, but the program is like that and we have no reason to reject it since it is in interaction with an international institution. Boys should not lose patience in supporting girls and women, because investing in women and girls is the best. We need as many people as possible to challenge themselves. As a representative of the weaker sex, I must admit that women are ahead of us and we must admit that we must work to reach their heights and stand by them with great dignity," said the Prime Minister./ CNA
