The EU Ambassador to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, was present at the signing of the loan and grant agreement to finance the construction of the Belshi photovoltaic park.

In his speech, Gonzato said that with the construction of this park, the energy capacity will increase to 50 megawatts. The EU Ambassador stated that the EU has committed 477 million euros to Albania.

Gonzato also said that the EU will launch a new program for energy efficiency, containing 50 million euros from IPA funds. A program that has been entrusted to the Albanian government, the ambassador said.
