The Democratic Party's candidate for deputy, Grigels Muçollari, has today shared a denunciation of a problem in the Astir and Yzberisht areas. Muçollari highlighted the lack of a 9-year school and a high school in this area.

Muçollari states that although the landowner donated this property to the municipality, with a contract that this land can only be used for a school, the land has been empty for six years.

Muçollari said that on May 11, this injustice for the residents of this area will end.

"I am located today in unit no. 14, in the area of ??Astir and Yzberisht, where approximately 70 thousand inhabitants live.

A large community that has been in dire need of a 9-year school and a high school for years, but it does NOT have them. It does not have them, not because there is no need, but because the Government and the Municipality do not consider the residents here, do not see them, do not listen to them, and do not ignore them.

According to the documents I will publish, it is clearly shown that the owner of this land after me, together with the developer, in 2019 donated a full 10,000 square meters to the Municipality of Tirana for the construction of a 9-year school and a high school.

The distrust in the Municipality and the Government is also felt in the contract, where the donors made a conditional gift, in black and white: this land can only be used for a school. Because they knew very well who they were dealing with - that if it weren't for this condition, perhaps today the foundations of another tower for ordinary clients would have been erected here.

Here you have them: donation documents, notarized contracts. All in order, signed.

What has the municipality done in these 6 years?

Nothing. Zero. Here is the land, empty. For six years, neglected. No project, no work, no interest. Six years! When to build a tower for their clients, they do not need more than 6 months, but for schools they find neither the time nor the will. Because for them, an agreement with the oligarchs as in the case of the Selman Stermasi stadium is more valuable than the vital need of this community.

On May 11th, this injustice will end. On May 11th, the citizens of this area will vote to build two schools essential to the community.

The Democratic Party, as soon as it takes over the country, will immediately begin their construction. It is here, on this land donated with civic responsibility and vision, that a 9-year school and a high school will be urgently built.

"The children of this area have the right to learn in dignified conditions. And this right will become a reality. With the vote of the citizens," said Muçollari ./CNA
