Bad weather/PD calls on the local government in Shkodër to take measures

Shkodra Municipal Council member Eliona Shkreli, listing the areas most affected by bad weather in this municipality, has accused the government and local government leaders of failing to realize promised investments.

Shkreli has denounced the blocking of road axes and the lack of electricity in Gur i Zi, Shale, Shosh, Pult, Velipojë and Dajç.

"Entire areas of the Shkodër municipality are completely in the dark and blocked by snow due to the total lack of investment and the lack of taking responsibilities by the responsible renaissance institutions.

This government and this local government, who are only interested in propaganda photos and videos produced for the purpose of deceiving the citizens, have completely neglected the main task of serving the community and taxpayers of Shkodra.

The lack of investments and high corruption have made entire villages of the Local Units in these days with low temperatures and snowfall to be in complete darkness.

The promised investments in the electricity distribution network have remained in the framework of government propaganda, and have never been realized. The lack of investment has caused the villages of the administrative units Rrethina, Gur i Zi, Shalë, Shosh, Pult, Velipojë and Dajç to suffer from a lack of electricity, while Shkodër Municipality provides us with images and photos of OSSHE employees at work repairing the defects , an ugly propaganda facade where photos and reality do not match each other.

Administrative units of Dukagjin are blocked due to landslides and snow, while Mali I Shoshit, which is not reported, is impassable. 

On the other hand, these administrative units of the Dukagjini area continue to be in complete darkness, and without necessary medical services, especially in cases of isolation from the snow where the residents find it impossible to move in case of health emergencies.

The political delegate of "Rilindja", Benet Beci, who until today has never exercised the duty of the Mayor of Shkodra, has turned the institution of Shkodra Municipality into a propaganda office of the pink headquarters, while using all the resources in the service of this propaganda, neglecting the residents of the Municipality of Shkodra who suffer the consequences of the lack of vision and responsibility towards the position he holds.

The Democratic Party calls on the leaders of the central and local institutions to rise to the level of duty and put themselves at the service of the residents of Shkodra and not at the service of the propaganda machine of Benet Beci and Rilindje ," Shkreli said./ CNA
