Meeting in Lezhë/ Berisha: PD has a legacy of the transformation of Albania

The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a meeting in Lezha on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of its foundation.
During his speech, Berisha said that the Democratic Party has made mistakes, but it never separates from the citizens.
According to Berisha, PD was attacked by Prime Minister Edi Rama, but today they are more united than ever and that on May 11 they will receive the deserved defeat.
"Of course we have our mistakes and we never get out of them, but what is our characteristic is realism.
We see things straight in the eye. We recognize mistakes. True, pyramid schemes developed under our government, but we handed over power. We handed over power under the moral principle that we must prove to the Albanians that we have not touched a penny of them.
So I stopped at a mistake. But other mistakes have been made. But they have always been recognized and great efforts have been made to correct them.
We have a merit, we have a very special merit; we have never been and will not be separated from the citizens. No.
My friends. You followed the US elections. Of course I followed them too. What did you see there? You have seen the entire American elite, all of Hollywood, the media, etc., in a row in support of the opposing candidate of Donald Trump. Everyone lost, why did they lose? They lost because they were cut off from American citizens.
The bottom line, absolutely not that Americans didn't admire Taylor Swift, or Hollywood stars, but they were clear that they were for Hollywood and not for their troubles.
They knew very well that for their troubles there was another man, a man who was censored by the media, a man whom everyone, if not the whole world, was against. But a man who thought about the Americans and those 4 years that he had governed had proved to the Americans that he thought about them, the economy and their pockets.
We came today, after an ordeal we went through undeservedly. We never deserved it, we had overthrown the most brutal dictatorship in Europe, we had joined the country in NATO, we had doubled salaries, pensions, we transformed the country.
But we were attacked by the mafia rule of Edi Rama. We were attacked by the master mobster of the planet George Soros and his mafia. They thought they would wipe us out, but they were wrong. Here we are today more united, stronger, more powerful than ever.
They divided us, we united.
They took our flag, here we are prouder than ever in his life.
They arrested us, here we are today stronger than ever.
So, friends, those who predicted our disappearance, on May 11 will receive the well-deserved defeat.
We come today more confident than ever in our victory.
We come today after condemning them all over the world for looting the elections.
We come today after branding them all over the world for the narco-dictatorship.
We come today after we branded them all over the world, for the terrible thefts, after we stood tooth for tooth for each of their thefts.
We come today more confident than ever in victory, because we are more united, because we have our program, the program that gives answers to every citizen." /CNA
