The chairman of the Democratic Party was present at the ceremony of the 34th anniversary of the establishment of the Branch of this political force in Elbasan.

In the speech held before the supporters and leaders of Elbasan Democratic Party, Berisha said that this 34th anniversary will not be for history, but will be the year of the start towards the long-awaited victory in the May 11 elections.

" First of all, I want to humble myself with the greatest respect, the most boundless gratitude to all those men and women, boys and girls who, in the conditions of a truly wild, unprecedented terror, established in this city 34 years ago the DP -in, as the party of the highest, most noble ideals of the citizens of this city and of Albanians as a whole.

A heartfelt greeting to all of you here, to all the citizens of Elbasan, leaders, deputies, and to express my conviction that we do not have this 34th anniversary for history, but for a new start towards the victory of May 11, the long-awaited victory by the Albanians. Dear friends, 34 years ago, the country was ruled by a terrorist political force that had built more prisons and camps than stadiums or playgrounds.

It was ruled by a political force, which, in accordance with the terrorist doctrine, had established in Albania, as in no other former communist country in Europe, the dictatorship of the tyranny of misery, of hypercollectivization, the dictatorship of the deepest isolation, the dictatorship of the butchery of the war of class.

Men and women, boys and girls who in December of '90 took the courage to create its opponent, to create the political force of the ideals for which the Albanians had sacrificed more than any other nation in the communist dictatorship, the political force of freedoms and human dignity , to create the political force of national interest in the face of the political force created by Belgrade as an organ of national treason, to create the political force as the thought force of Albanianism, of renaissance, of Elbasan, of the future ," said Berisha./ CNA
