Today, the opposition held the 41st protest in front of the Tirana town hall where they demanded the resignation of the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

During the protest, the police escorted some people, but regarding this matter, Belind Kelliçi said that they were taken without notifying anyone.

The political leader of the district of Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, said that the protesters were escorted at 13:00 and were kept handcuffed until 17:00.

Invited to a TV show, Kelliçi said that the Director of Police Station No. 1 will be held accountable one by one before the law.

"Azem Lika and Erion Velsula have been taken hostage. Adriana Kalaja has sent a letter to the State Police for the 41st protest, they gave permission but then determined that we should protest in the square in front of the Tirana City Hall so that security would not be compromised national and the circulation of funds.
