The political leader of the district of Tirana, Belind Këlliçi, has spoken about the SPAK investigation against the mayor Erion Veliaj.

In a television appearance, Kelliçi was critical of the Special Prosecutor's Office after saying that the facts and evidence are very clear against Veliaj, but no legal measures are being taken against him.

Regarding Veliaj's frequent trips abroad, Kelliçi did not rule out the possibility that he is preparing to seek asylum abroad, as Prime Minister Edi Rama will "pack" him.

Kelliçi said that immediate measures should be taken to punish the mayor of Tirana as the facts and evidence are already very clear and the public knows best.

"Erion Veliaj is being set free to flee the country to look for the countries where he is most suited for the political asylum he will seek. Let him go out if he wants and release photos and videos of the official meetings he claims to have had committed when he said I fled to the US.

The facts and evidence are there, but SPAK is not acting.

Berisha was kept in solitary confinement for 333 days without evidence and without facts that weighed against him, but only because there were suspicions.

Veliaj is coming to the office every day to destroy the evidence of the incinerator and the "5D" file.
