The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a meeting this Friday with all branch heads. He said that the May 11 elections are unique, since for the first time half of the electorate is abroad.

"Now we have elections with two heads. This is our story. But this is a great achievement because half of the Albanians will exercise the constitutional right to vote at a time when they did not exercise it and this did not happen to any other nation but us. We are making great efforts so that this process is transparent, honest and cannot be captured by Edi Rama and his gang, who always make every effort to capture him, but we are for a transparent process, a process of which excludes manipulation and guarantees the correct counting of that vote. This process takes place in Albania and abroad. It must be admitted that both phases, the one that takes place in Albania and the one abroad, are of primary importance for this process, of course our work within the country is decisive," he said.

According to Berisha, one of the reasons that will have a stronger impact on the DP's victory will be the vote of immigrants.

"Remember that nothing will have a stronger impact on victory than the votes of hundreds of thousands of opponents who, persecuted in one form or another by this regime, have taken to the streets of the earth. Edi Rama and the regime are already discreet", said Berisha.
