Ilir Meta has come to the side of Rama, regarding the decision on Iran, after the cyber attack of online public services.

The number two of the PL, Agim Nesho, in an appearance for the media, said that the Freedom Party supports the government's decision to sever diplomatic relations with Iran.

"The Albanian government today confirmed the freezing of diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a result of the recent cyber attack on our country.

Partia e Lirisë, e përkrah këtë masë ekstreme në marrëdhënien diplomatike mes dy vendeve tona, duke e quajtur të drejtë por pak të vonuar ndaj një vendi, që qëllimet e tij ndaj Shqipërisë i ka pasur agresive dhe destabilizuese, burim kërcënimi të papranueshëm për sigurinë kombëtare.

Ne mendojmë, që qeveria shqiptare duhet të jetë më e qartë në qëndrimet e saj të politikës së jashtme, në bashkëpunim me aleatët tanë strategjik, BE dhe SHBA, sidomos në kushtet e sotme të cënimit të rendit ndërkombëtar nga fuqi sfiduese si Rusia, Irani, etj., për të mos lejuar shtrirjen e influencave të tyre nëpërmjet projekteve destabilizuese rajonale, qarkullimit pakufizim të shtetasve nga këto vende jo-miqësore, që realizojnë interesa anti-perëndimore.
