Meta accuses Rama of being a thief/ Weeps over the price of energy

The Chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta and Prime Minister Edi Rama

The Chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, today accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of being a thief.

Through a status on social networks, Meta says that Rama is constantly stealing from the energy sector, buying 7 times more energy than the Free Market Supplier bought from local producers.

According to him, in order to hide the responsibility from thefts with energy imports, the prime minister is blackmailing local and foreign entrepreneurs.

“Pa investimet e jashtëzakonshme dhe me sakrifica të mëdha të sipërmarrësve shqiptarë dhe të huaj për rritjen e kapaciteteve prodhuese energjetike në vend situata do të ishte tragjike për ekonominë tonë dhe konsumatorin familjar ndërsa çmimi shumë më i lartë.

Edi Rama në përpjekje për të shmangur vëmendjen e qytetarëve nga fajësia e tij për dështimet 10-vjeçare në sektorin energjitik dhe sidomos nga megaaferat e vjedhjeve në këtë sektor të keqmenaxhuar, kërkon të fajësojë për çmimet pikërisht shpëtimtarët nga katastrofa, që mund të ishin investitorët kurajozë që shtuan ndjeshëm prodhimin vendas të energjisë duke investuar mbi 1.2 miliardë euro.

Prodhuesit ekzistues me përparësi të energjisë elektrike kontribuan në sistemin elektro-energjitik shqiptar me 2,124,476 MËh, përgjatë vitit 2021.

This energy is paid by the Free Market Supplier at 8.56 allek/kih. So 7 times cheaper than what KESH is buying.

The cost invested to install 1 ME is approximately 1 million euros. Currently, 1,200M have been invested in installed capacities that serve for the security of energy supply.

So instead of supporting investors to increase energy production in the country and create facilities for them, the Prime Minister blackmails them and seeks to antagonize them with the citizens to hide the responsibility of his scandalous thefts with energy imports when he bought it 7 times more expensive than what the Free Market Supplier bought from local manufacturers.
