"We are opening an unprecedented competition in the country"/ Berisha "starts the engines" for the local elections, appeals to allies

The head of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha appealed to the allies to propose candidates for mayor at the presidency meeting.

Berisha has warned of the opening of an unprecedented competition as he called it exactly.

In addition to allies, he has said that he welcomes candidacies from civil society and the academic world.

"Intensive meetings with allies will take place. They have reasonable proposals, they have fair suggestions. Here all their suggestions are welcome. their candidacies are welcome. Nominations from civil society and the academic world of the country are welcome. We open an unprecedented competition in the country. We will do everything for its success.

We are in a critical situation. A situation which requires an important commitment in the primaries process. I understand and understand all those citizens who did not welcome the push for protests. A man who threatens everything.' said Berisha ./CNA.al
