Memorandum with Italian company/ Karakaçi: Opening for Albanian energy

The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enea Karakaçi, was present today at the signing of the memorandum between Albania and the Italian energy company Eni Spa.

Speaking from the Prime Minister's Office, Karakaçi emphasized the importance of this sector, which faces challenges, especially from the geopolitical crises that have affected global energy markets.

The ministry said that this memorandum will serve as a step towards assessing the country's energy products and possible energy stock management models.  

"Today we mark an important journey in the national energy sector and the construction of a more sustainable, secure and resilient energy system to the challenges of the future. The signing of this memorandum represents a concrete step towards the assessment of creating a step for energy products in our country, for the supply of our country with our energy product and possible models for stock management. Energy security is not simply a sectoral objective, but a fundamental component of national security and civic well-being. Recent events have shown that global energy markets can be affected by geopolitical crises and regional conflicts, price fluctuations or disruptions in the energy supply chain", said Karakaçi. /CNA
