'The closing of the Turkish college, dictated by the Turkish
The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama responded this evening to the accusations that the closure of the Turkish college and kindergarten in Tirana was due to the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Rama said in the show "Now" with Erla Mëhilli that his relations are not in contradiction with the line of Albania's foreign policy.

He claims that the decision to close the two institutions was made based on Albanian laws, after declaring that Erdogan cannot give orders to a sovereign country

"The fact that I have relations with the president of the Republic of Turkey, which are close and friendly relations, are not contrary to the foreign policy line of the Republic of Albania.

Second, here in Albania there are many institutions that belong to this chain that we are having useless discussions.

President Erdogan has not given any order and does not give any order. You cannot give it to a sovereign country. It is not an order, but a request, historical.

On the other hand, it has been a request that has always been made, and in the meantime, we have acted according to the laws of the Republic of Albania. We did not act according to the opinions or speculations that are made here, but according to the laws of the Republic of Albania", emphasized the head of the government./ BA - CNA.al
