Interior Minister Ervin Hoxha, in a post on social media, shared details from the meeting with his British counterpart.

In the post, Hoxha writes that issues such as illegal migration and cross-border crime were discussed during the meeting.

There was also talk of the European Political Committee Summit, which will be held in mid-May in Tirana, the minister announced.

" It was a pleasure to meet with the Home Secretary of Great Britain, Yvette Cooper, with whom we had a very fruitful conversation, during my visit to London."

We discussed issues that affect common interest, such as illegal migration, cross-border crime, etc. Minister Cooper assured me of the full support of the British government for increasing police capacities, but also in the country's integration processes towards the EU. With Great Britain, we have intensified cooperation not only at the strategic level, but also operationally. State Police officers work closely in investigation teams with the British Police. The excellent results that we achieved against illegal migration in the last two years, we agreed to extend to the field of the fight against organized crime. With the minister, we shared the idea that other countries of the Western Balkans should also join the joint Task Force, of which Kosovo has also become a part. We also talked about preparations for the European Political Committee Summit, which is held in mid-May in Tirana, as an important political event for the country" , writes Hoxha./ CNA
