Leskaj remembers Havzi Nela/ post-communist Albania still continues to suffer
Deputy Bujar Leskaj

MP Bujar Leskaj commemorated Havzi Nela on the 34th anniversary of her death.

Through a status on social networks, Leskaj remembers how Nela was hanged on the rope and the debates about the crimes of communism and their authors 34 years after this event.

He emphasizes that today, post-communist Albania still continues to suffer from those who condemned, signed and hanged Havzi Nela.

"34 years ago, the poet teacher, Havzi Nela, hanged himself on the rope on August 10, 1988.

His body was kept hanging all day in the center of the city of Kukës.

The goal was to terrorize young and old.

But the evil had no end.

His body was taken and placed vertically in a hole created by removing a wooden post.

Havzi Nela was deprived of the opportunity to lie down like all the dead.

It stayed that way for five years and ten days, until August 20, 1993.

34 years after the hanging of the last anti-communist poet in Europe, we still debate about the crimes of communism and their perpetrators.

34 years later, post-communist Albania still continues to suffer from those who condemned, signed and hanged Havzi Nela.

34 years later, even though we are members of NATO and a candidate country for the EU, the sons of communist fathers, perhaps more sophisticated, but just as evil, anti-human, anti-Albanian and murderous as their fathers declare that their parents were "On the right side of History!", writes the deputy./ BA - CNA.al
