The former head of the Red and Black Alliance, Kreshnik Spahiu, made a strong statement this evening, as he spoke about vote buying.

Spahiu said on Erla Mëhilli's show that an Albanian politician in North Macedonia had offered 20 families 5,000 euros per vote.

According to him, despite the fact that the families were very poor, they had refused to sell the vote for money.

"I have a story with a politician in Macedonia who, after securing all the votes of the Albanians in his area, needed some Macedonian votes. With 5 thousand euros, it went to several Macedonian families. He had listed the poorest Macedonian families and went to the family heads.

20 families had rejected the 5,000 euros of this person, the Albanian politician, and would not sell their vote. Not 50 euros, not even 500, but 5 thousand euros, very poor families in Macedonia. Very poor Macedonians who have no bread to eat, do not sell their vote for 5 thousand euros" , he emphasized./ CNA.al
