Does the Gjiknuri-Bylykbashi Commission review the Socialist Party's draft

Oerd Bylykbashi's statement about Birn has aroused a lot of interest due to the issue it was related to.

"Any legal initiative related to electoral reform must be approved by consensus, and this includes the law on referendums. Referendums are provided for in the Electoral Code and any discussion on these provisions must be part of the work of the special committee and must be reached by consensus based on the decision of the parliament that requires political consensus on any change related to this reform."

This statement by the co-chair of the bipartisan Committee should be formalized with a joint request with co-chair Gjiknuri for the submission to the Committee of the draft reform that the Socialists are talking about.

The Socialist Party has presented a draft, which according to sources is continuing to be improved and, at the request of the co-chairs of the Electoral Reform Commission, will have to be officially submitted to the two co-chairs.

This much can be revealed regarding what is expected to happen in the Electoral Reform Commission and apparently warned by Bylykbashi.

While the territorial reform commission has announced an agenda of meetings in the regions, there has been no news from the Gjiknuri-Bylykbashi duo so far.

The start of the review of a draft for referendums would be news that would certainly be received with great interest by civil society and public opinion.

It is expected that Bylykbashi will clarify more in the coming days how the Democratic Party, represented in the committee by Bylykbashi, intends to improve the draft presented by Taulant Balla./ CNA
