The candidate of the Opposition for the Municipality of Tirana said in an interview to the journalist Ola Xhamo, that one of the biggest problems for citizens today is the high cost of living. Inability to close the month and afford expenses.

Regarding this, Kelliçi said that he has a plan to mitigate this phenomenon, to help the citizens of Tirana.

"Free public transport will make a normal family save 86,000 old lek per month", said Këlliçi.

He also added that his platform foresees the reduction of taxes and fees, which will directly affect the pockets and the quality of life of the residents.

The Opposition candidate emphasized that the Municipality has all the possibilities to find citizens close to these measures, if there is a will.

Revenues will increase, Kelliçi continued, with good administration and the fight against corruption. The data show that almost 40 percent of taxes and duties are not collected by the Municipality in Tirana, as a result of abuse and favoritism of the subjects despite the financial benefit for the officials of Veliaj .

Kelliçi assured that the free transport will also help ease traffic in Tirana and reduce pollution./ CNA.al
