Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha today made harsh accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama, describing him as a fierce enemy of the Albanian vote.
In his speech during the 'Poltore' in Korça, Berisha also focused on the situation of the Democratic Party, which according to him is a party of peace and undefeated in its causes.
"My friends, not only did we not disappear, but we defended the freedoms, the dignity, the cause of every Albanian, in the most difficult conditions. In conditions when everything was done against us.
And today we are, I guarantee you, stronger than ever in our existence. Yes, today we are more sober than ever and more determined than ever in history.
Today we come, today we come after you have proven to the Albanians and the world, with documents, with thousands and thousands of documents, that Edi Rama is a fierce enemy of the Albanian vote. That he does not hold elections, but only electoral farces. And this, this is an extraordinary achievement.
Edi Rama would be the biggest loser if he did not allocate 100 euros in the middle of the campaign to every pensioner, violating national and international law.
Edi Rama would be a loser and without a judge today, if he did not sign the licenses for 28,000 hectares of cannabis throughout the country. He would be a loser today and without a court, if he did not transform the administration, the servants of the citizens, into political terrorists of the free vote. Edi Rama would not, would be a loser today, if he did not use all the executive power for building permits, for certificates, for everything in order to cheat for votes.
But friends, this is the 35th anniversary and we are taking stock. We have absolutely had mistakes in our history, we have had flaws, we have had defects, we have recognized them, but he has not learned a lesson. We are invincible. We are invincible.
Yes, yes. We are invincible. And, we have proven it. We have proven it to the Albanians.
We, when he brought out the tanks, set fire to his tanks. When he killed us, we drove them out of the country, the crime party. When he isolated us, he did everything, we triumphed and look where he is and where he will end up today.
We are a party of peace. Peace is our strength, but we are invincible. We stand. In the most critical moments, this party has had as its inspiration and motto: Let us die, let us live for freedom.
Yes. And precisely for this. And precisely for this, we have lived for freedom and we will live for freedom and we will win.
He made the most extraordinary efforts for them, to overturn the report. He failed, failed and only failed. The election reports because as prime minister, he paid tens and tens of millions of euros in your taxes to deceive with lobbyists, with statements, with forms, with every form. But, thanks to the work that the democrats, the opposition, did, we collected, presented thousands, thousands of documents. So the elections were effectively sentenced to death.
The elections were a farce and the recommendation, two, two things I will remind you, I will not read the report here. But in the Council of Europe, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the head of the delegation that visited Albania for the elections, in his report recommended:
In Albania, the party must be separated from the state. So, in Albania, the elections were held by the state against the parties. They were a farce and were not elections.
"The other in the European Parliament: In Albania, organized crime does not allow the rotation of power. I am very grateful to these men, who told the truths in the most prominent halls of Europe, the truths that we defended," Berisha declared./CNA
