Local elections/ CEC distributes around 100 million ALL to political parties

The Central Election Commission has distributed state budget funds to participating political parties for the local elections of May 14, 2023.

The fund of ALL 97,064,530.08 was distributed as follows:

1. Democratic Party (PD) 24,963,584,24 ALL

2. Republican Party (PR) 3,012,429.13 ALL

3. Progressive Alliance Party L.ZH.K 1,100,255.80 ALL

4. Socialist Party of Albania (SP) ALL 42,833,466.73

5. Freedom Party (PL) 15,594,215.8 ALL

6. Justice, Integration and Unity Party (PDIU) 4,260,606.71 ALL

7. New Democratic Spirit Party (FRD) 1,194,064.75 ALL

8. Social Democracy Party (PDS) 1,123,779.90 ALL

9. Social Democratic Party (PSD) 0 ALL

10. Democratic Conviction (BD) 639,798.69 ALL

11. Green Party (P.GJ) ALL 797,915.09

12. Party Christian Democratic Alliance of Albania (ADK) 448,974.27 ALL

13. National Tree Alliance (AAK) 532,820.88 ALL

14. National Unity Party (PUK) 562,618.08 ALL

The commissioner approved the model cooperation agreement between the State Election Commissioner and the political party that receives funds from the state budget and the Central Election Commission.

It also approved the requests of "Star Plus", "Syri Tv", "Klan Tv" and online media "Albanian Post" for the observation of elections for local government bodies.

In this session, it was also decided to grant the authorization for the change of the location of VC no. 1977/00, VC no. 1977/01, VC no. 1977/02, VC no. 1977/03, VC no. 2021/00, VC no. 2021/01, Municipality of Tirana, VC no. 1080/00, Bulqiza Municipality.

The administrative examination of the denunciations of the Coalition for Reforms, Integration and Consolidated Institutions against the persons responsible for reporting public activities was completed. The commissioner decided to suspend the administrative proceedings against:

1. To the Mayors of the Municipalities of Dibër, Rrogozhinë and Patos, finding no violation of the provisions of Article 91 of the Electoral Code and decision no. 9, dated 24.12.2020, for misuse of public resources;

2. To the persons responsible for reporting public activities in the municipalities of Kamëz, Kavajë, Pogradec, Vorë, Devoll, Durrës, Malësi e Madhe, Rrogozhinë, Prrenjas, Gjirokastër, Kukës, Lushnjë, Kuçovo, Korçë, finding no violations, since the unreported activities are not are of a public nature in the sense of Article 92 of the Electoral Code and decision no. 9, dated 24.12.2020.

The decision-making on the draft decision "On the appointment of the political parties that will propose the third and fourth member of the Vote Counting Groups, for the elections for local government bodies on May 14, 2023", was postponed to the next session./ CNA .co.uk
