Public spaces/Rama: A new plan for placing tables outside, coming soon

Prime Minister Edi Rama, through a status on social networks, said that the area of freed public space amounts to about 20 thousand square meters.

Further, the Prime Minister says that local and foreign architects have been engaged in Urban Renaissance 2.0 projects.

Regarding outdoor bar and restaurant tables, Rama writes that a new plan will soon be given to the entities, which will occupy 25% of the public space, while 75% will be for pedestrians.

" According to the work plan, in Tirana alone, the area of freed public spaces will reach around 20 thousand square meters by tomorrow, while the work will not stop either in the capital, or in other cities where this phenomenon has taken place, or on the coast or in protected areas, no, no...

In the meantime, work is underway on Urban Renaissance 2.0 projects, for which many foreign and local architects have been engaged.

"As for placing tables outside, the new plan will soon be given to everyone, with the basic formula of 75% of the space for pedestrians and 25% for service units. And no type of structure built on sidewalks will be allowed, except in cases of ample space and only where there is a proper urban project ," Rama writes./ C NA
