The Republican Party has started preparations for next year's parliamentary elections, and in Elbasan the campaign is being led by the head of the Elbasan branch and the deputy head of the PR Ergys Muzhaqi. As a representative of the old families of Elbasan, but also as an expert on security issues, he gave the message that honest people must react when evil rules.

"I want to bring this kind of spirit to my political commitment. Not to sit when we should be standing, not to be silent when we should be talking, not to sleep when we should be working. At the very least, let's not stay at home when we have to vote," said the head of the Republican campaign in Elbasan, Ergys Muzhaqi.

What is even worse, and you are witnessing here in Elbasan, drug trafficking has become dominant. Powerful drug trafficking groups, who have the money, also dominate politics. They choose. They decide. Unfortunately, it is an obvious, acceptable relationship of today's government. Even further, due to the interests of power, there is no more freedom, no rights, and no laws. These criminal groups are used in cooperation with the government to manipulate elections, to intimidate voters, to buy votes, to tell Albanians that your vote is not valid. But when the vote is not valid, our lives are not valid, the lives of our children are not valid, the sacrifice of our parents is not valid," Fatmir Mediu emphasized.

In the meeting with the structures of the Republican Party in Elbasan, Mr. Mediu pointed out the need that the country has for the functioning of justice.
