On 17.10.2024, during the plenary session, in flagrant violation of Article 122 of the Rules of the Assembly and the law on the State Police, the Special Forces of the State Police have violated, obstructed and threatened the opposition MPs within the premises of the Assembly. Albania. The intervention of the Ganda of the Republic (employees of the Security Service of the Assembly) was needed to protect the MPs from aggression within the premises of the Assembly by the employees of the State Police.

The introduction of the Special Forces of the State Police inside the premises of the Assembly, during the parliamentary activity, preventing the deputies from moving into the premises of the Assembly, threatening the lives of the opposition deputies and violating their physical integrity, is an unprecedented act. in the functioning of the Assembly of Albania.
