Meeting in Brussels/Vengu: I confirmed Albania's readiness to side with

The Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, participated in the meeting of the Ministers of Defense of the NATO countries in Brussels, where the focus was on the war in Ukraine as well as the cooperation with the partner countries of the Indo-Pacific.

Pirro Vengo through a post on "Facebook" informs that Albania has confirmed the commitment of our country, alongside the allied countries, in unwavering support for Ukraine.

"In the meeting with the counterparts of the countries participating in the coalition for the Defeat of ISIS convened by the US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, the determination of the coalition to continue the commitment and joint efforts in Iraq was confirmed.

The focus of the first day of the meeting of the defense ministers of the NATO countries in Brussels was the war in Ukraine as well as the cooperation with the Indo-Pacific partner countries.

Regarding Ukraine, I reaffirmed the commitment of our country, alongside allied countries, in unwavering support for Ukraine in its efforts for stability and security. It will be negotiated between the two countries on the "Agreement on security cooperation and long-term support between Albania and Ukraine", while Albania will commit to providing training for Ukrainian military personnel."/ CNA
