The defense lawyer of Sali Berisha and Jamarbë Malltez, Genc Gjokutaj, has considered the trial against the two democrats as a political issue. In an appearance for the media after the change of measure for Malltez, Gjokutaj also took out the document that shows how the report and registration of the case was made within one day.

"The court announced the decision, approving it for Mr. Berisha's part. By changing the part for Jamarbër Malltezi, he set the measure of 'house arrest'. This is a 'scratch' because Jamabër Malltezi does not have any type of penalty. That this matter is political, I inform you on this page of the report. You have reporting and registration within a day. For such matters, it is impossible to submit the report and register it within one day. Yesterday's trial was characterized by the harsh language of the prosecution and the silence of the court", said Gjokutaj.

Referring to Berisha, for whom the court did not change the measure, the lawyer said that this case will not be left at that, but will continue with the recourse to the Supreme Court.

"We will continue the battle. It is a long battle," Gjokutaj told reporters.

The measures against Berisha and Malltez were decided on October 20./ CNA
