"Do you want to know who is MY citizen?"/ Rama: The Freedom Party has never wanted to open files

The Assembly of Albania has approved with 94 votes in favor and 1 abstention several amendments to the law on state security files, which makes it possible to open all files from 1944 to 1991.

So, the candidates for high management positions must go through the sieve of the Files Authority again, despite the fact that they may have previously received a cleanness certificate from the two "Mezini" and "Bezhani" commissions.

During the discussions on the opening of the files, Prime Minister Edi Rama did not leave without mentioning Ilir Meta's Freedom Party.

"You want to know who is MY citizen, maybe he is or maybe he isn't. Let's all break free if IM citizen is not what everyone thinks. Why doesn't the Freedom Party come here and the Freedom Party here? Because they never wanted the files to be opened because they wanted as many shadows as possible to come around", said Rama. /CNA.al
