The government will cut off funding for outstanding students who want to study abroad.

The news was announced by Prime Minister Edi Rama himself during a meeting with the students who won the "gold medal".

Rama declared that he will support only excellent students who will continue their education in Albania, since those who study abroad do not return to our country.

"I understand that studying in those best universities in the world means that you get in, with the guarantee that when you get out, prestigious companies and law firms and other systems will come looking for you, offering you a job. That's how it is when you're on top.
