The chairman of the National Council of the Democratic Party, Edi Paloka, told "A2CNN" that there are also socialist MPs who have also accepted in Washington that the leader of the Democratic Party is Sali Berisha.

Paloka emphasized that Gjiknuri, in the meeting he had with Escobar in Washington, said that the opposition in Albania is Sali Berisha.

Then personal attitudes, whether I like Sali Berisha or Gazment Bardhi, these are other issues. Many of us, every time we vote for the president or the presidency, of course we have our selections, we have the choices that everyone makes. If someone doesn't like Berisha as president, it doesn't mean that they don't know him as an institution. The DP is important because today it is one, it has a purpose. I think that the entire opposition today is on one front and it cannot happen otherwise. If we do not manage to achieve these things that depend only on us, to achieve the unification of the opposition, then it is pointless to lie to your people, we say that we are in the battle to restore democracy in Albania", he said among other things.
