The member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Belind Kelliçi, denounced from the headquarters of the Democratic Party that the heads of the affair of the incinerators Mirel Mërtiri and Klodian Zoto circulate through a scheme of tens of millions of euros, unlike what the Albanian Prosecutor's Office claimed that the money moved in cash and bags.

According to Këlliç, in 2017 Mirel Mërtiri created the next company in Malta called Sien Group LTD, through which he concluded contracts with the three incinerators, that of Elbasan, Fier and Tirana at staggering values.

"The Fier contract, for example, is worth 23 million euros for the purchase of all machinery and equipment. In Elbasan, it is for maintenance; while in Tirana, the contract is for Erion Veliaj's new business, where all commercial entities would be forced to equip with specialized bags for waste", says Këlliçi.

He explains that the reason why the company was created in Malta is to build a triangular scheme for the circulation of money outside Albania.

"This is also proven through an electronic communication dated October 17, 2018. Only 16 days after signing the contract with the Fier Incinerator, the representative of the Sieni consulting company tells Mirel Mërtiri and Klodian Zoto: especially after the verifications made with the customs of Albania from Eltoni (Buffalo), the contract set by you can be processed. As you told us, the machines must travel with the triangular system, but all suppliers must be notified in advance, as the original documentation will be kept in Malta, because the company Sien it is subject to the control of the VAT Department of the Maltese customs", he said.

Appeal to SPAK of Kelliç:

It's been several months since we continue to denounce with documents, officially forwarded to Altin Dumani, Head of SPAK, and we still have no new developments or in-depth investigations into the biggest affair of the century.

The question that every Albanian rightly asks today is: Why does SPAK not request the cancellation of this corrupt contract, which continues to steal millions of euros from Albanian taxpayers every month?

Why aren't concrete measures taken to block the financial assets illegally obtained from the land business, which continue to feed money to public lawyers, who still have the courage to defend the incinerators that do not exist, but also lynch and smear any individual who denounces this criminal scheme?

As long as SPAK does not act, it automatically becomes a party to the authors of this scheme. It is the latter's responsibility to prove otherwise. Evidence and irrefutable facts are on their desk every day./ CNA
