The advisor for the economy in DP, Dorjan Teliti, accused the government of having failed with the economic program.

He said that in 7 months of this year, the trade deficit has increased by 23.6%. In a statement to the media, Teliti emphasized that Albanian exports suffered a decrease of 14.5%, while the "importing friends" were the winners, as imports increased by 3.2%.

"The latest official data of the Rama government itself on the health of the enterprise, especially the manufacturing one, are dramatic. According to the governmental INSTAT, the 7th month of this year marks a new vicious record of bad governance.

Albanian exports suffered a significant decrease, decreasing by 14.5%, while the "importing friends" have emerged as winners, as imports result in an increase, specifically 3.2%.

The trade deficit increased by 23.6% during the first 7 months of the year, a clear indication of the weakening of the commercial position of the Albanian economy and producers compared to countries and competitors in the region and beyond. The reasons are several, but directly related to the government and its occult policies.

The abolition of the euro caused by mostly illegal factors related to the cleaning of billions of euros of crime and corruption, the lack of a direct aid package for producers leaving them at the mercy of fate, the high fiscal burden that reigns in the country for 11 years, lack of labor as a result of massive depopulation, etc., are some of the factors that have caused and brought this bitter end for the economy and local producers", he said.

Among other things, Teliti stated that the Democratic Party has a clear vision for the revival of the economy in Albania, which according to him will start with placing the citizen in the center of attention.

"The economy in crisis affects everyone, regardless of political differences. Point the finger and hold responsible those who have caused this crisis, the culprits of this economic as well as social crisis.

The renaissance economic model of empowering and enriching only a handful of people, while the economy weakens and Albanians impoverish, should have ended an hour ago. The Democratic Party has a clear vision for the recovery of our economy.

After free and fair elections organized by a technical government, with the arrival in the direction of work, the small but efficient government, which puts the citizen and the enterprise at the center, with the lowest taxes in the region, with direct support packages there where needed and when needed, with a revised framework to return to being a leader in absorbing foreign direct investments, with concrete measures for the return of Albanians to the country, etc., will be the instruments that will rebuild our economy by introducing it on the tracks of development, increasing productivity and wages, opening jobs, increasing well-being", he emphasized./ CNA
