The training, called “Building the Regional Common Market: Executive Training for Western Balkans Changemakers,” was designed to provide participants with practical knowledge and skills to support CRM and strengthen regional cooperation efforts. Organized by the Albanian Center for Competitiveness and International Trade (ACIT) and the Albanian Center for European Policies (ACEP) with support from the Regional Cooperation Council, the training aims to prepare state officials to support CRM and exploit its potential for encouraged economic integration and cooperation in the region.

The Common Regional Market (CRM) is a framework created by the region and adapted to EU rules and standards, aimed at improving competitiveness, removing barriers and deepening economic integration between the states of the Western Balkans. Complementing the EU's Economic and Investment Plan, the CRM serves as a step forward towards the EU's Single Market. Its implementation is done through four-year Action Plans developed by the RCC in cooperation with the administrations of the Six Western Balkans, regional partners and the European Commission. The second phase of the CRM was approved by the leaders of the Six Western Balkans at the Berlin Process Summit in Berlin on October 14, 2024./ CNA
