Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha spoke this Friday about the construction of the "Mountain of Tirana" tower.

He stated that the builders of the tower, Agim Zeqo and Ilir Shtufi, have not given a penny to the DP.

But journalist Mero Baze countered with accusations. He raised allegations that Agim Zeqo paid Berisha for a medical intervention in Vienna.

" Sali, don't be in a hurry with Agim Zeqo because you have a habit of saying you don't know what the boy does next. Look who paid for the intervention in the clinic in Vienna. Not for nothing, but he can keep his honor without showing it everywhere," he writes irony Mero Baze on "Facebook".

A reaction has come from Berisha for this accusation, who says that the journalist is a slanderer who long ago asked him to pass goods to him duty-free.

Furthermore, the former prime minister denies that Agim Zeqo or any other businessman paid money for his health care.

" Today, the paid slanderer Ymer Çorapja, whom I dismissed because he stuck to my shoes like mud to pass goods without customs, etc., released the next low slander. According to him, the businessman Agim Zeqo paid me medical expenses in Vienna.

Regarding this amoral slander of his, I clarify that Agim Zeqo and no other businessman, Albanian or foreign, has ever paid a single penny for my health care in Albania and in any other country in the world, Berisha emphasizes . CNA
