Berisha accuses the Socialist Party: Failure to condemn the Serbian genocide in

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, took the floor in the Assembly, where he spoke about the request for the condemnation of the Serbian genocide in Kosovo. Berisha accused the majority of denying this genocide because, according to him, Prime Minister Edi Rama is a friend of the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vu?i?. By not voting to condemn the genocide, Berisha said that the socialists become co-authors in the crime and behave like people without a human conscience.

"During the period 1998-1999, the barbaric Serbian forces committed about 100 massacres in Kosovo. They are not non-Albanians, but they are not people. To deny the Serbian genocide in Kosovo means to be a being without a conscience, neither human nor national. How can you transform your blood? You have people in your family who fought. Can an Albanian step on the blood of Kosovo? You do it because your leader is Vu?i?'s hired hand. But whatever nation they belong to, you must stand against genocide. Killing civilians for ethnic reasons is genocide.

The Serbian genocide of Kukes is imprinted in the fundamental treaties of genocides in the world. What drives you to be so insensitive, to a more fundamental issue in the human conscience? Where do you find the strength to step on people's blood. Even if they were Serbs and Macedonians, I would vote if Albanians had done it. You become co-authors in a monstrous crime. You express yourself not as if you are Albanians but as if you are blind Serbian ultranationalists ," Berisha said. /CNA
