Analyst Baton Haxhiu has described as right the decision of Prime Minister Edi Rama to cancel the meeting of the two governments of Albania and Kosovo in Gjakovë.

Haxhiu claims that Rama gave the prime minister of Kosovo 72 hours of political breathing space, as "Kosovo is very close to international sanctions."

"There has been communication between Prime Minister Rama and Albin Kurti for 2-3 days. And what Mr. Rama wanted even when he proposed the draft, it required political breathing for Albin Kurti. This political breather gave him 72 hours to embrace de- escalation which is the A of what he must undertake.
