The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, spoke today about the gasification of the country.

During the speech at the "Strategy of intelligent specialization in Albania (S3)" meeting, Balluku explained the reason why the government decided that gasification should start from Korça.

She stated that the citizens of Korça are the ones who expect the projects better, so she emphasized that this city deserves to pilot gasification.

"One of the issues we often talk about is the country's gasification, which is part of the Albanian government's strategy for energy development in our country.

Considering the development of the industry, considering the development of tourism, gasification of the country is no longer a utopia, but it is a vital, basic need and I can happily say that the Korça project will be the first pilot. Korça has already deserved to be a pilot for all projects, as the citizens of Korça are usually the ones who respond best to such pilots, as we also have in the case of drinking water or sewage", underlined the Deputy Prime Minister./ CNA .co.uk
