Race for the leadership of the DP/Paloka: Anyone can run, the leadership makes the selections
The head of the National Council of the Democratic Party, ...

Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has reacted on social media regarding Numbeo's study on purchasing power in Tirana.
Këlliçi writes that apartment prices in Tirana have increased after money laundering has become involved in the construction sector.
Both of these issues, says Këlliçi, have one thing in common, the name of Prime Minister Rama. The MP writes that it is Rama who determines where it will be built, how it will be built, and who will receive a building permit.
Further, the democrat states that the construction industry is run by Rama, an industry in which there is suspicious money from crime and corruption.
Status of the calf
There are two pieces of information that, although from different sources, are fundamentally related to each other and both lead to Edi Rama!
According to a Numbeo study, based on income and purchasing power, Tirana is on par with Milan in terms of apartment price increases and is placed in the 4 most expensive cities in Europe, where a family needs 17.6 years of work to buy a home.
The other data comes from INSTAT and reveals that money laundering reached a record high in the last 10 years. And it is precisely the construction sector where this phenomenon is widespread.
During 2025, this criminal activity increased by 11% compared to the previous year.
What is the main reason why prices are so high and unaffordable for citizens?
But both of these phenomena show the portrait of Edi Rama in the background.
He is the person who determines the places where construction will take place, deals with projects, and is the one who issues permits, both in Tirana and in tourist areas.
So Edi Rama runs this industry where profits are high and money laundering is on the rise?
We are dealing with dubious and illegal income from two main sources, organized crime and corruption.
Two areas where Edi Rama has strong connections. Big business is related to his decisions with governance and his tenders. While organized crime has found in him the right partner to penetrate the market.
If there is anyone directly responsible for the high prices of apartments and the laundering of criminal money, it is Edi Rama.
