Enkelejd Alibeaj was asked this evening who is the chairman of the Democratic Party after the decision of the Court of Appeal to return the issue of the stamp to the Court of Fact for trial.

Alibeaj proudly told reporters that he is and feels like the leader of the Democratic Party.

"I am and I feel like the leader of the party and acting in office. According to the law, the names of the chairpersons are registered in the register of parties when there is a resignation. The election of the new chairman must be registered, not the acts of resignation. DP must organize the election process from the base to the top" , he said after the meeting with the Presidency.

In the meantime, we recall that as CNA has previously reported, Lulzim Basha has not officially resigned.

Although a year ago he declared that he was running away from the post of head of the Democratic Party, he has kept his appointment as chairman registered in court./ CNA.al
