The former prime minister and chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has given a message for the 32nd anniversary of the July 2, 1990 uprising.

Through a status on social networks, Berisha asks that we bow with deep gratitude and great respect to all those invincible and courageous boys and girls who topple the Berlin Wall in its highest, blackest segment , in Tirana.

Today is the 32nd anniversary of the uprising of July 2, 1990!

Te dashur miq, ne historine e qendreses se shqiptareve kunder diktatures staliniste me jetegjate ne Europe dhe lirise se tyre, eshte nje dite e shenuar. Me daten 2 Korrik te vitit 1990 mijra te rinj, punetore por edhe intelektuale e te persekutuar te Tiranes u ngriten dhe me nje guxim epik shemben ne Tirane murin e Berlinit, hyne ne oborrin e ambasades gjermane dhe ambasadave te tjera dhe plagosen per vdekje diktaturen e fundit staliniste ne Europe e permbysen edhe ne Shqiperi Murin e Berlinit.

Por mjerisht qytetaret e Tiranes dhe inteligjenca e saj u gjeten ne bisht te kohes. Ata nuk guxuan te mbeshtesin kryengritjen epike te guximtareve te kombit, nuk mbushen rruget dhe sheshet e Tiranes per te permbysur si ne vendet e tjera ishkomuniste diktaturen hoxhiste ne Shqiperi.

Me gjithe kete e pavaresisht nga kjo, Kryengritja paqesore e 2 korrikut 1990 goditi rende dhe beri te pashprese diktaturene komuniste ne Tirane.

Ajo me jehonen e saj te jashtezakonshme deshmoi se Shqiperia socialiste nuk ishte dhe nuk do mbetej shkemb graniti i socializmit ne Europe, apo Kuba e Adriatikut dhe se diktatura komuniste ne kete vend kishte hyre ne agonine e saj.

Ndaj dhe sot le te perulemi ne me mirenjohje te thelle dhe nderim te madh para te gjithe atyre djemve dhe vajzave te pamposhtur e guximtare qe permbysen me 2 korrik te vitit 1990 murin e Berlinit ne segmentin me te larte, me te zi te tij, ne Tirane.

Mirenjohja jone kete dite shkon edhe per ambasadorin e RFGJ Ëerner Daum dhe koleget e tij per mbeshtetjen e tyre te fuqishme per kryengritesit e 2 korrikut dhe popullin e shtypur shqiptar.

Special tribute to the martyr of this uprising, to the 15-year-old Artim Basha who fell to remain immortal on the altar of the freedom of the Albanians. sb
