Democratic Party MP Edi Paloka said today that the May 11 elections brought confirmation of what has been happening in Albania for 12 years under the Rama government.

Invited to a television studio, Paloka emphasized the DP's position that only with a technical government without Rama can elections be held in Albania.

According to him, the return and unification of the DP, the taking of symbols, Trump's victory in the US and the rapprochement with his administration created a spirit that gave hope.

"The May 11 elections brought a confirmation of what has been happening for 12 years in Albania under the Rama government, which was warned by us and not only by us, at least in two statements by the popular parties and those of the European center-right before the elections, which had made an analysis of all the violations that had occurred beforehand. So, practically nothing new has happened. I have said it from the beginning and not only me, that with Rama there can be no elections. It never happens that you go into the elections and say you will lose. Not only for the militants, but there were several factors that gave us hope, factors that were not related to what Rama would do. Only a technical government without Rama can hold elections in Albania. What changed was the internal situation in the DP, because we came from a situation before destruction.
