Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, in his appearance this evening, congratulated all Muslim believers on the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Berisha also recalled that today, on this holy day, 100 days have passed since the epic resistance of the democrats on the "Road of Hope".

Sali Berisha's speech:

"Dear resistance fighters, missionaries of freedom and human dignity.

Today is a holy day.

Today is the glorious day of Eid al-Fitr.

Together, we wish from the bottom of our hearts to every Muslim Albanian believer, we wish that their sacrifices, we wish that their patience, we wish that their dedication, the great and merciful God will return them to goodness and prosperity.

Cheers and congratulations.

Dear friends, the glorious God is one, he is unique in everything and in the way he works.

It so happened that on this holy day, an important event for us, the democrats, also happened.

Today marks 100 days since our epic stand on the Road of Hope.

A heartfelt thanks, boundless gratitude goes to all of you, invincible warriors, who for 100 days stood firm.

100 days in the cold, in the rain, hail, storm, you stayed, you didn't capitulate.

True, victorious missionaries.

This day, which coincides with the holy holiday of Eid, reminds us that God is with us, that God is always on the side of good.

But at the same time, this reminds us of our great responsibility, to fulfill this divine mission to save Albania from evil, to save Albania from its enemies, who seek to destroy our nation with theft, crimes and depopulation.

The history of Albania is a history of light and darkness.

Albania has suffered divisions and dictatorships. These are the darknesses that have blackened a part of our history.

But also the history of Albania has been illuminated by the resistance, revolts, heroic battles of the Albanians, which have brought light to the history of our nation.

It is these battles for freedom and dignity and epic resistance that have turned the fate of Albania more than once.

Who have saved our homeland and who have given the Albanian descendants the freedom and dignity they deserve.

In this context, these 100 days of resistance will be engraved, immortalized on the walls of history.

My friends, these 100 days of resistance are listed together with the great resistance of the Albanian nation for freedom and dignity.

Because nothing represents the struggle of good against evil more clearly than this battle we are waging today."/ CNA
