Why should politicians' salaries be high and employees' salaries low?

Why should politicians' salaries be high and employees' salaries low?

It is a fact that Albania has the political elite with the highest salary in the region and the employees with the lowest salary.

This courageous movement of the deputies, which in any other country would have overthrown the government in a few hours, has brought a calmness and stability in Albania similar to countries where nothing happens. Scandinavian calm and stability.

The doubling of the salaries of the ministers, deputies, the President, the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the Parliament was not done because this layer was suffering, but it was done to deepen the gap between "servants of the people" and the people. While the dedication of servants to the people has been proven for years, the opposite has not been true. So it's time for employees to put their heads down and remember every morning when they leave for work and every afternoon when they go to the store to buy that their lives are on the line.

The doubling of the salaries of the "servants of the people" has not been done as the critical media with the government present it as a competition to see who has the highest salary in the region. No. The doubling of wages has been done to deepen inequality.

Haven't we Albanians tried for 5 decades what "equality and egalitarianism" means? The increase of privileges for one layer and the increase of suffering for the people assures us that we Albanians will never return to the distorted social experiment of equality and keeping the salaries of officials as close to the general average as possible.

Doubling the salaries of "servants of the people", to put it bluntly, was done to increase poverty. Leftist governments usually love the poor so much that they think day and night how to increase them, but in this case, poverty is being encouraged to promote virtue. Poverty sculpts characters - not only worthy of literature and cinematography, but above all for society. We need as many people with strong character as possible. After all, is there anything more virtuous than struggling every day to make ends meet?

We have all noticed that a seed of well-being that capitalization produced these 3 decades came with a social bill behind. People were getting lazy. Albania became the first country per capita for the number of cafes. Cafes and hairdressers became the main businesses. By increasing poverty for the masses, the government wants people to become self-reliant, survive, know the value of their penny and taste their daily bread better.

Doubling the salaries for "servants of the people" is done so that in the end even the ministers and deputies themselves become sensitive people to human suffering. Seeing the difficult situation of their voters, the officials will be affected more, especially during the election campaigns. Anyone can take charity initiatives and especially in election campaigns become more generous.

Keeping wages low for employees is also done to increase political stability. Do you see what is happening in France why the President decided to raise the retirement age by two years? Paris burned. By keeping wages low, employees are more easily governed and they don't think about protests, unions, or demands for wage increases.

We are not all like "goat legs"

Last, but not least, the doubling of the salaries of ministers and MPs was done to increase corruption and give SPAK the opportunity to catch the "big fish". How will this be done? The well-known motto of prosecutors is: follow the money. Doubling salaries will stimulate the appetite of ministers and MPs to have more money. Corruption will flourish and prosecutors will finally have a chance to hit "up", where the money is.

Therefore, one should not rush into populist slogans as if the doubling of officials' salaries was done for their benefit. Not everything is as it seems.
