"Face deformed for three years"/ Famous TV series star's breast

Brandi Glanville finally has some answers about what caused her mysterious facial problems, breast implants.

The former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star is taking care of her face now that she's figured out what was wrong, Glanville told TMZ on Wednesday.

Last week, InTouch reported that Glanville underwent surgery to remove her breast implants earlier this month. According to the source, she had the implants inserted in 2007 after the birth of her son, Jake.

Glanville was told that her left implant had a slow leak, while the right implant had completely ruptured.

"I had silicone in all my lymph nodes," the reality star told TMZ. "That's what caused the infection on my face. ... I couldn't go outside because my lymph nodes were blocked."

Glanville had struggled in recent years with a mysterious illness that caused recurring facial swelling, speech impairment and tooth loss, leaving her reluctant to appear in public.

In 2024, she revealed that, after spending more than $70,000 on treatments, doctors were still baffled by what could be causing her facial disfigurement, although some suggested it could be due to a parasite.

Glanville even tried using Nair, the hair removal product, to combat the parasite.

Glanville told TMZ that she was shocked to learn that her breast implants were the cause of her facial disfigurement. She said she had visited 21 doctors over the years trying to investigate her condition, but to no avail. She only learned that her nearly 20-year-old breast implants were damaged after she had them examined with an ultrasound.

"I learned a really, really hard lesson," Glanville said, advising people to make sure they get their implants checked after 10 years, even if they feel fine.

"I'm not saying don't get implants," she added. "Just do it and make sure you keep it under control. And you have to be really vigilant about getting ultrasounds. Ask your doctor."

Despite doctor's orders, "I can't rest," she said. "I've been home for three years."/ CNA
