World-renowned singer Harry Styles felt lonely after the breakup of the band "One Direction" in 2015. This is what the artist stated in an interview with the Sunday Times, where he shared the feelings he experienced after the breakup with his bandmates and friends Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik.

"When you're in a band with four other people, there's a lot of leeway in how you act or hide. There's just a certain weight that falls on your shoulders. The first few times on stage without One Direction, I was like, 'What am I doing with my hands? How am I acting?'" Styles said.

Despite this, the 32-year-old said he also felt lucky that people were showing interest in the songs he was presenting, while pursuing a solo career.

"I was lucky that people were interested in what I was creating, but I put a lot of pressure on myself, wanting it to be right," he shared during the interview.

Speaking about the release of his first solo album in 2017, Styles explained that he wanted to expand his horizons as a creator, but was afraid of disappointing people.

"With that first album, I was trying to figure out what kind of music I was going to make on my own, but at that point I felt like there were a lot of people who had shown faith in me and I didn't want to disappoint or disappoint anyone ," he said.

Styles also spoke about his hiatus and stepping away from the spotlight after his 22-month "Love on Tour" ends in July 2023. It was the first significant break from his music career in more than a decade. He admitted that at first the idea of ??taking a break "seemed crazy."

"I didn't know if I could do it. But it was the right time for me - we had finished the tour in July and I was turning 30 in February. It was time to take a break for a while and pay attention to other parts of my life," he said.

The three-time Grammy Award-winning artist, while commenting on the experience of being away from music for more than two years, explained that it gave him the opportunity to understand himself and influenced his new work.

"I always thought, or hoped, that I was the kind of person who didn't need the pleasure that this job often gives you. But I hadn't really left it, and it's hard to shake the suspicion that maybe, if all of this were to disappear, I would really miss it. That's always been a fear for me ," he said. /CNA
