A situation that could have turned the best day of her life into a nightmare.

Selena Gomez lost her handwritten vows just days before saying "I do" to Benny Blanco at their private wedding on September 27, 2025 in Santa Barbara.

According to Blanco's account on the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" show, the singer had cried for 4-5 days because she couldn't find the pages where she had written the most heartfelt words for her partner.

"She was crying because she couldn't find them," he said.

But at the last moment, the producer performed a "miracle", he managed to find the vows just before the ceremony.

"I closed my eyes and gave it to her. I didn't read it, I swear!" he said with humor, adding that the situation made him look like a hero in the eyes of the bride.
