Usually, when we cut our hair, we have seen hairdressers collect it with a broom and throw it in the bin. But a hairdresser in Britain has found a new way to reuse her customers' cut hair.

She collects all the strands of hair and creates carpets for oil spills. These mats have properties that absorb oil 10 times their weight.

"I always saw hair and thought why do we throw it in the trash? It is a material that we can use for something. When I was working in Canada, I found out that they recycled hair and made these oil spill mats. It can be seen that there are also red or purple hairs", said Adele.

However, not every hair type is usable. Adele explains that when the hair is too damaged by chemicals and does not absorb anything, it cannot be used for carpets./ CNA.al
