Local elections of May 14/ Hoxha reveals which party the criminal groups support

Investigative journalist, Artan Hoxha has made some "predictions" regarding the situation in local elections and the position of criminal groups regarding "May 14".

During a media appearance, Hoxha said that the opposition only favors Shkodra.

The journalist said that the criminal groups are not with the opposition, as they smell where it will win these local elections, thus implying that they support the majority.

Regarding the elections, are there expected to be problems in the country?

Both crime and politics have the same objective, to secure as much money as possible. These are local elections. The opposition has only Shkodra in favor, it is difficult. The most important organized crime groups are not with the opposition. They smell who will win.

How has crime changed in Albania over the years?

Crime in Albania has reached another level. We are evolving. In total, last year we had only 44 killed, but this is not related to the manner of the crimes. There may have been more murders last year, but they were ordinary crimes. During the past year, there have been high-level, expensive assassinations. /CNA
